Hidden amongst dense greenery, this gate immediately caught my attention because it appeared to lead nowhere. The path disappears off to the left, concealed by the surrounding trees and overgrowth, leaving the imagination to fill in what lies beyond.
What drew me to the scene was the quiet sense of mystery it created. The gate feels both welcoming and restrictive at the same time — an entrance, but also a boundary. I captured the image in the hope of drawing the viewer into that same curiosity and encouraging them to wonder what might be waiting further down the hidden path.
This photograph is displayed as Beyond the Latch and catalogued as Gate to the Greenway, connecting the gallery title with the subject and location described on this page.
