Some of the best days for woodland photography are the ones most people avoid.

After hours of rain, the forest felt darker, quieter, and far more alive. Wet leaves caught the soft light, moss glowed against stone walls, and empty trails disappeared beneath the trees. Instead of chasing dramatic weather, I spent the day looking for atmosphere—and that’s exactly what I found.

With more experience in nature photography under my belt, I’m already looking forward to the next adventure.
